Ready for the weekend? I made it through a week of exhausting heat, while fighting the flu, not the two best combination. I am now finally back on track, and to celebrate, I teamed up with and packed for a cool evening cocktail hour by the water, which basically is the only and most sensible to be outside these days.
I know you like a good cocktail, just as much as me. I actually challenged myself with this one, I am not the biggest grapefruit lover, but mixed with Belvedere Vodka it’s very refreshing. When creating a cocktail with just a few ingredients, it really matters which vodka you use, the origin of the Belvedere Vodka gives it a wide range of flavor characteristics. It is not uncommon to find tasting notes of vanilla and hints of white pepper and spices, giving this fresh, smooth and velvety cocktail the perfect touch. And may I add, your guest will love you for it.
For the Belvedere Ruby Tonic you need:
4cl Belvedere Vodka
1/4 Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1 Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic (a delicate floral tonic water with a soft sweetness and bitterness, which makes it a bit sweeter than other tonics)
A big slice of the grapefruit peal
Lots of ice cubes
Simply fill up a glass with ice cubes, add Belvedere Vodka and grapefruit juice, which should fill about half of the glass, and top it up with tonic. Stir. Garnish with grapefruit peal.
